Four Sponsors Secure Funnybike Honors
Group agrees to share class sponsorship and TV rights.

Was it the fact the Funnybike class was on the chopping block several years ago, and the risk of the machines being mothballed that brought a new excitement and energy to the class? Who knows, but the excitement is at a peak this year, and it does'nt look like it's going to stop.

In 2004, Weismann Racing Transmissions, PMFR, Pro 1 and Robinson Industries each wanted a share of the class name and collectively needed to come to terms in order to share the rights. With newer racers like Travis Davis, devouring the competition with obnoxious alcohol and turbo powered machines, the Funnybike Series is no-doubt going to create some of TV's finest moments, and sponsors were quick to want their name associated with the action.

Prostar will create and distribute Funnybike class sponsor decals to the Funnybike competitors. Each sponsor has agreed and will get exclusive class sponsor recognition at two of the eight national events for television purposes, Example: the Weismann Transmission Funnybike Series or PMFR Funnybike Series, etc, will become the class name for a particular event. This will allow equal TV time and visibility for each sponsor.
In addition to the event prize money, the joint sponsorship brings a cash bonus to the Funnybike class.

Class bonus will pay:
Year end No. 1 Plate Bonus $2,000
Year end No. 2 Plate Bonus $ 800
Year end No. 3 Plate Bonus $ 500
Year end No. 4 Plate Bonus $ 400
Year end No. 5 Plate Bonus $ 300
